Happy New Year!

It's 2014! I feel like just yesterday it was the beginning of 2013 and I was anxious for my birthday. This year not quite. I have a ton going on this year and I'm very glad that year is behind me because it definitely had its ups and downs. I was able to spend my New Year's Eve with my family in Mass, though I missed my New York family very much! Normally I posted my options or what I was deciding on wearing but I wanted to do a New Years post so I thought I would save it for now.

My dress was from Forever 21 and I snagged it when they were having that deal of free shipping with any $30 purchase so all I ordered was this dress and a nail polish. My stockings are Navy also from Forever 21. My Brooklyn boots were gifted to me for Christmas by my sister, there from Burlington Coat Factory. For makeup I kept it simple, on my lips I wore Lolita by Kat Von D, my eyeliner is from MUFE, and my mascara is benefits bad gal lash. I enjoyed myself and I hope everyone else did as well. I know things can get hectic so I hope everyone was safe! This year I have a lot going on for myself. I'll be 23 in 2 months and my cousin is getting married in 2 months (the weekend after my birthday). My niece will turn 5 this year and my baby sis will be 18. Time sure does fly and I want to cherish the moments I have on this earth. I feel sometimes I take my life for granted because I don't go out and live and experience things I haven't yet. This year I plan to change that.

So to all, may your year be filled with love, good health, wealth, and nothing but positivity.

NYC: through the lens of others

Photo Credit goes to Melania Trump via Twitter.

I miss NYC so much this time of year. I don't know what it is but it just feels a lot more like Christmas in the city. Though I'll be there in a few weeks I wish I was already there hanging with family and friends sippin on Starbucks. So since I miss it so much I decided I'd start some NYC photo posts. Everyone who visits this beautiful city can't help but take a pic or two.

Empire State of Mind

So loves I'm in the city on my days off and last night I went out with my cousin who by the way I can always count on to have a good time with. We found ourselves walking around the city but we eventually came across bars and before we went in we ate Mcdonalds. Well technically she ate I only had fries. Any who, we got in line and I had no idea first off you needed to be on a list and honestly I felt like I was in an episode of Gossip Girl or something. They let me and my cousin in and when we did it was packed. We made our way to the bar and ordered drinks. The night was filled with good music but some unfortunate spills on us. Which kinda dampened the night. No pun intended.  I absolutely LOVED my dress! I went to Queens Center Mall with my cousin and obviously went to Forever 21. I bought a dress, a denim jacket, hot pink jeans, and a blue tank. I teasingly posted the pattern on my dress on Instagram and then when I was in the bar me and my cousin took pictures.

As we were walking we saw the Empire State building so clearly it was so beautiful.

Here is the picture I teasingly posted on Instagram of my dress.

Overall they played really good music! I loved my drinks, though my cousin was not satisfied with hers (I even tasted it and it had a lot more vodka than soda). Those people really know how to party lol. I would love to go there again just for laughs. Since I work all the time I haven't gone out so this was needed.

21 And Fabulous!

Hello Fashionista's! As you should know my birthday was March 15th and I'm officially 21!! I can finally get into bars and drink, legally. Anywho I promised I would post my outfits for Friday night and Saturday night. On March 16th we left to NYC and stood for the weekend. We met up with our cousins and headed to Zamaan but they wouldnt let my younger cousins in because they are 18. We went right next door to Las Tainas which is a Latin restaurant. We ordered food and drinks and had a great time. I ordered my first drink as a 21 year old, a Sex on the Beach. It was good.
This is what I wore Friday night. My dress, tights, necklace, and earrings are from forever 21. My tiara was purchase at Spencers, and my shoes are by dollhouse from Burlingotn Coat Factory. On my lips I was wearing Kat Von D's Lolita lipstick with Soap & Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss over it.
On Saturday night, we went out to Webster Hall. I chose that club one for the circus act and two because my friends and some cousins who arent 21 yet could get in. I had the time of my life dancing my heart away with my family and few friends. It was truely amazing.
My dress is from Forever 21, leggings from Debs, flats American Eagle for Payless, Shrug from Torrid, pearls from Debs, earrings from chic. I love this dress, Its probably a favorite item in my closet! I was also wearing my Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss. I had the best weekend. It was definitely memorable.

Heavily Addicted

Hola Fashionista's! Yesterday I went into the city and met up with my cousin. Well, technically I got there before her and strolled into Sephora and that's where she met me. It was perfect because she had to get a few things from there anyway. So before she even got there I ended up buying her birthday gift a little early. Her birthday is on the 25th but I didn't want to forget. I didn't take any pictures of what I bought her but It was a birthday girl pack that came with mini lip gloss, hand and foot cream and an exfoliator. I think there was something else but I can't remember. I also bought her the Benefit Tan About Town combo set. It included: Some Kind-A-Gorgeous cream to powder complexion perfector, BadGal Lash Mascara, and Hoola bronzer. For myself I bought a lipstick called Rosary from Kat Von D's line, I also purchased the Vanilla Birthday Cake Shower gel which also can be used as shampoo or bubble bath. If you read my previous post from my free birthday gift, you know how much I absolutely LOVE this product! I also bought a medicated exfoliator and acne spot treatment. I'm hoping it works well with my skin because I don't really breakout that often, but I wanted something for when I actually do get pimples. I spent a lot more than I expected too, but I didn't really buy anything unnecessary. After Sephora we went into Forever 21 and I bought a dress for her birthday weekend because were going to the club. I also bought knee high grey suede boots because they were on sale and they didn't really have any shoes that I really liked.

I really have a weak spot for Sephora. It has become a bigger issue as time goes on I think. I love Sephora and all it offers. They have the best customer service!
